We, the people who belong to a generation which leads a fast forward life, always have some kind of tests running within us when we perform our daily activities, be it chatting with our office colleagues or our parents, kids or our daily routines at office. We generally act based on the results of those tests, say,if the result is Red (i.e., unexciting, monotonous or not useful for us), we care a damn about it. If the result is otherwise, we give our heart and soul to it and get it done. This is purely unintended, and normal.
Now, how many times have you thought how your activities as an individual makes an effect on other people around you or perhaps even people of future generations irrespective of the result of the above said test? The answer may be negative, because we have little time to think about all these things.
“The Butterfly Effect” from the New York Times Bestselling Author Andy Andrews makes us think in those lines and in due course changes our thought process as well. It explains how a simple word or gesture or work can have ripple effects spanning not years but few generations. You need to read it to believe it. It’s a small book whose effect lasts longer than expected.
